I had to meet with my realtor out in Greece tonight so I thought I'd try fishing off the Charlotte pier for a change. I caught 2 nice smallmouth on 2 different spoons (I was actually hoping to catch some trout, but I guess the water's still too warm). I must've heard people read the damn grafiti behind me a hundred times. Many were obvious Canadians ("Mum"). Despite the clouds there turned out to be a pretty sweet sunset. A cherry-red sun poked through at the last second. You could just barely see the fast ferry on the horizon. It took about 30 minutes to get from the horizon to the pier. I was amazed at how quiet it was, especially for its size. It slowed down greatly before it reached the pier and cruised up the river making a decent wake. Once it got to the port it did an Austin Powers 80 point turn and backed into the port. It was kinda neat.
